About Spoon Scout

Spoon Scout gathers what government agencies, independent labs and food makers have published about contaminants in food, and puts it next to the products you buy: lab results for metals and plastic chemicals, FDA recalls, and additives that the EU or US states restrict.

Most foods have never been tested by anyone who published the result. When that's true we say so plainly and show what FDA found in that kind of food instead, labeled as a typical level rather than a test of the product.

We don't grade foods or call anything safe or toxic. We show the number, who measured it, when, and the limit it's being compared with, so you can decide.

Spoon Scout is free and takes no money from food companies. The same data is open to AI assistants at food.agentlookups.ai, part of agentlookups.ai, a set of free public-record lookups.
